Digital Scrapbooking

I used to LOVE scrapbooking...
I got really into it about 7 years ago when I moved up to Sacramento and met my friend Jen Stewart.  We would get together quite a few times in a month to "scrap."  I can remember many times staying up until the early morning putting together the "perfect layout."
A few years back I lost the motivation and interest to bring out all of the required tools to scrapbook and began making photo books on Shutterfly.  I love Shutterfly because it is so easy but I miss the creative aspect of it.
I recently have discovered digital scrapbooking.  I know that it has been around for quite sometime, I just never looked into it as I assumed it would be difficult.  Thankfully, it is not difficult especially since I found an awesome site: www.JessicaSprague.com.  There are many self paced, step-by-step classes on the site to teach different aspects of Digital Scrapbooking.  I am currently in the middle of "Up and running" with photoshop and am really impressed!
Here are my first two projects:
"Now and Then"- Created on November 30, 2011
Text: Bekah, you have always had a sweet relationship with Bailey.
We have wonderful memories of you as a young girl playing ball
and running around with her.
Now, we are blessed to watch you care for our "old girl."  What a compassionate
and loving young woman you have become.

"You"-Created on December 2, 2011
Text: You are beautiful from the inside out.  You are more than my sister.
You are my best friend.

Keep in mind that these layouts were pretty much laid out before hand by a designer, so I can't take too much credit with the design.  However, I have learned quite a bit with formatting, changing colors, and writing text on Photoshop.  I am looking forward to learning more!
