How far along? 22 weeks (And getting bigger and bigger)
Size of the baby: Baby William weighs in at a whopping pound and measures nearly eight inches!!! They say it is about the length of a spaghetti squash.
Maternity clothes? Absolutely...do you see the size of that belly? I am still wearing non-maternity skirts and some of my old pants with the help of the B-band.
Sleep: Getting more used to sleeping on my side. I have brought the preggo pillow (aka: the other man) back into the bed to help with that. Last week I got an AWFUL cramp in my leg early in the morning. I posted about it on facebook and received quite a few tips. I now drink more water (I already drink almost a gallon a day, so this adds one more trip to the bathroom at night), eat at least one banana, drink coconut water, and have placed two unwrapped bars of soap beneath my fitted sheet. That tip is the craziest one I received, but knock on wood, I have not had a cramp since. And my bed smells fresh and clean all the time.
Best moment this week: Last night was my 31st Birthday! It was a long week at school so I LOVED hanging out with Rick and a few friends to celebrate and relax. Rick ordered a cake from my favorite bakery in town and I only ate one small piece (a huge achievement as I wanted to eat at least two more.) Seriously though, I was so thrilled to sit there on my birthday and feel baby William kick and know that after all these years of "birthday wishes" to be a mom, I am finally going to experience that in just a few short months!
Miss Anything? Not missing a thing...so happy to be experiencing this time.
Movement: YES! And it is so crazy! Sometimes it feels like a quick tightening across my lower belly (I think this is when he is going from one side to the other) and sometimes it is a kicking feeling. Last night I actually woke up from it. Rick is wanting to be able to feel it so badly! Hopefully in a few weeks!
Food cravings: Not a lot of cravings this week, however, I am STARVING all the time. I really need to be careful about this! I have done pretty well the first 20 weeks only gaining 3 pounds...well, that is starting to change a bit because in the past two weeks, I have gained 4.... That makes me up 7 pounds total. Not too bad, but I can't keep with the pattern of 4 pounds every two weeks or I will be a whale when I deliver.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, thank goodness!
Gender: We are having a Boy! William "Will" Curtis Medina
Labor Signs: None. Let's keep it that way. :)
Symptoms: Frequent restroom trips, exhaustion.
Mood: Blessed to be pregnant!
Looking forward to: So much to look forward to! Preparing Will's nursery, completing the baby registry, baby showers, holidays, Will's birth, etc.
