Happy 1 Month Will!!!

William, you are 1 month old!!!  You are so precious...I can stare at you for hours.  I still can't believe that you are mine.  You look just like your daddy.  Today was your 1 month check up and you weighed in at 8 lbs, 12oz!  You are now stretching your feedings to every 2.5 hours during the day and are giving your mommy a little more sleep stretching it out to 3 hours at a time!
You are still in a newborn diaper but are quickly growing out of them!  You wear 0-3 month clothing now, but they are a little loose on you.  You does not take a pacifier (you spit it right out). :)
You are generally a happy, calm baby, but recently you get cranky after feeding. I saw a lactation consultant today and she seems to think you may have reflux.  We are monitoring it and will call your pediatrician if it continues in the next 3-4 days.  You also have a stuffy nose, mostly after each feeding...I was worried this may be your first cold, but your doctor says this "is normal" and you are just fine.
When you cry, it sounds like you are saying "uh-kay, uh-kay."  It breaks our hearts to hear you, but it is also a little funny...
You had your first bath this month.  You cried initially, but eventually got used to the water.  Mommy realized after that it was a tad bit too cold...I just didn't want to burn your sweet skin.  Your second bath was much more relaxing and you stayed in the tub much longer!
Your daddy LOVES to hold you on his chest.  You seem to like it there the best too.  Daddy went away on business this month so Auntie Mandy and Grandma came to help mommy.  They LOVED every minute of being with you!  Auntie Mandy called you "her little burrito" because thats what you look like all swaddled up in your blanket.  Grandpa also came to visit later that week.  We took our first walk around the neighborhood.  You cried half way through so mommy carried you the rest of the way home.  Mommy and Daddy also took our first date while Grandma and Grandpa were here!  It was a quick dinner, but we enjoyed ourselves and we know you loved extra snuggle time with Grandma and Grandpa.
Daddy experienced his first Superbowl with you!  San Francisco played Baltimore (we were excited because Great Grandpa William LOVES the San Francisco Forty Niner's).  Unfortunately the Niner's lost, but you were asleep for most of it.  :)
Just yesterday you were laying on our bed in the morning and you made your first cooing sound.  Sweet boy, it was the sweetest sound I have ever heard!
We are beginning to get used to "three of us" rather than just two...it has been a big change, but we are enjoying every minute with you!  Each day we learn a little more of each other and are beginning to make new routines.  We love you so much!!!
